Want an amazing guaranteed fun time? Preschoolers and little ones will have a blast at Espresso Yourself in Powell. They have story time each Friday at 10:30 a.m. and today they had face painting. Caden of course wanted to be Spiderman! Then he grabbed the mic and sang 3 songs with Mr. Eric (Espresso Yourself owner) and sang his heart out. Perfect food too if you love coffee drinks and panini sandwiches. Good times!

Caden is so blessed to have wonderful little buddies! Mason and sister Autumn are so sweet and they all have a blast together.

My Grandma Poplis sang this to my siblings and I any time we spent the night at her home. She would sing all the lyrics she could remember and stroke our backs. One of my fondest memories of her. I keep the tradition alive and sing this song to my son each night. What is so cool is that my mom sings this to Caden when he visits so when he wants to hear it he says, “sing Grandma’s song”….

Last week we were driving to the store when Caden said, “Mommy, I love God. I miss God.” I almost wanted to drive off the rode when I heard this. I stopped at a red light and said to him, “I love that you love God, Caden. He loves you very much too. I miss God too Caden” (and after my busy week, I did miss Him). I am sometimes so in awe at how innocent, sweet and tender children’s love is for Jesus. I want my heart to stay that pure.
Psalms 8:2 says, “From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise…”

Grandma & Grandpa Craycroft treated Caden to a train ride event yesterday with Curious George. It will definitely be something he remembers for a long time. He loved walking around the train with Grandpa and sitting out on the open deck (or whatever you call that part). Fun day.

It’s so cute when Caden asks to go to Bob’s for pancakes. It’s usually late in the evening and daddy is on a trip when we go. It’s become our little tradition to cuddle up in a booth and eat our pancakes with syrup. Sometimes we talk and sometimes we’re silly. I treasure these times.

Ok, of course popsicles are the best thing in the world during hot summer days.

One Thursday evening Caden and I found a lost kitten in a field
who was crying so loud we could hear her from across the street.
Of course we had to go see her and Caden & the kitten fell in love!
It was so adorable. The kitten followed us home and so the fun
continued the following day until we found her a new home.
I have to say I was tempted to keep her….

A friend from small group, Betsy, has created an idea called a Share Garden. The concept involves growing fresh produce and donating 90% to those in need. What an awesome giving mentality. Caden & I joined her one morning for some gardening and had a blast.
